Role of Love and Compassion in Business?

If the role of business is to identify an others pain and offer a cost effective solutions to that pain, one would suspect compassion would have a major role in business.
Should more businesses be embedding, or at least deriving inspiration from a Charter for Compassion when formulating the company mission and standard operating procedures?

The Decision

If you had a virus that if given to a patient, cured them, and once cured, would give that patient the ability to infect other sick people with that virus, hence curing them and so on until all sick people were cured; Would you start the ball rolling by giving that virus to the first [...]

Yet we still Trust

Having just written about a Crisis of Trust I must recognise that, as a society, we still trust.
The following TED talk I found reassuring. His observations provide partial reason for why my Plan to “Save the World” may just work.

Like every world changing idea now-a-days, mine too involves the internet to a very limited degree. [...]

We have a Crisis of Trust.

Despite all the complicated Systems and Mechanisms our society institutes to reduce the need for trust, our day to day lives are manageable only because we do trust.
We trust that the oncoming traffic will stay on their side of the road, we trust that the money we give to the banks will be available to [...]

Ok, you’ve got the solution. What is the ROI?

Lets assume for a moment that I have the solution that will save the world and an action plan to implement it.
If you think I have, you might invest in it. If you think I haven’t you won’t.
You’re a hard nosed investor, you’ve got no children to pass the world on to, you’re very self-centred [...]

The Climate is Changing?

The world needs saving because the climate is changing. This is impacting on the way we as humans currently live and we are all worried.
Being agnostic I find I just don’t know what the truth of the situation is. There is so much conflicting information out there that seems to be so complicated and with [...]

Essential Elements of Any Plan to Save the World.

Most importantly it must come from a position of Love.
Individuals must personally benefit from participation.
Groups must get a benefit through involvement.
Must produce more than it uses. (Adds Value)
Must be self-perpetuating, It must grow as a natural consequence of its structure.

Doesn’t add up?
Seems like perpetual motion to you?
Never-the-less I must include all these elements in my [...]

Life just isn’t fair

We spend an inordinate amount of time creating systems to try to make the world fair.
I agree with what Alain says in the following video. Somewhat staging the issue but not the solution. If you don’t have time to watch it all, the last 2 minutes cut to the chase with a great question and [...]

Money

“Permit me to issue and control the money of a nation, and I care not who makes its laws.” ~ Mayer Anselm Rothschild (Banker)
What do we reform to give best bang for our buck?
Financial independence is something we all covet but very few enjoy. Money, however much we wish it not to be so, dictates [...]

The Little Red Hed – Revised

Once upon a time, there was a little red hen who lived on a farm. She was friends with a lazy dog, a sleepy cat, and a noisy yellow duck.
One day the little red hen found some seeds on the ground. The little red hen had an idea. She would plant the seeds.
The little red [...]
